Vantage: an enterprise dashboard rebuilt on a scalable front-end
Vantage's operations team ran the business out of a dashboard that took nine seconds to load. We rebuilt the front end from the data layer up.
The Challenge
A decade of features had accreted into a single dashboard nobody wanted to touch. Load times punished the exact power users the product was built for, and every new chart shipped as a bespoke component.
Our Approach
We separated the data-fetching layer from the view, introduced a token-driven component library, and moved the heaviest tables to virtualized rendering. We shipped in vertical slices so the operations team felt the speed improvement in week three, not at the end.
The Outcome
Time-to-interactive dropped from nine seconds to under two, and the shared component library cut the cost of the next dashboard in half. The rebuild paid for itself in reclaimed operator hours inside a quarter.
